How to Start/Stop Task Scheduler service

Service name: Schedule

Display name: Task Scheduler


Description:

Enables a user to configure and schedule automated tasks on this computer. The service also hosts multiple Windows system-critical
tasks. If this service is stopped or disabled, these tasks will not be run at their scheduled times. If this service is disabled, any services
that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.


Path to executable:

C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs

Msconfig:
This method shows you how to Start/Stop Task Scheduler service from starting with the operating system using
System Configuration

Please perform the following steps:

Please go to Start and click on the Search programs and files

Type msconfig and press Enter

In System Configuration please go to Services tab and locate Task Scheduler service
Uncheck the box to prevent this service to start and then press OK to finish

Any change make in System Configuration will be apply after restart
