How to Start/Stop Performance Logs & Alerts

Description:

Performance Logs and Alerts Collects performance data from local or remote computers based on preconfigured schedule parameters,
then writes the data to a log or triggers an alert. If this service is stopped, performance information will not be collected. If this service is
disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k LocalServiceNoNetwork -p

Msconfig:
This method shows you how to Start/Stop Performance Logs & Alerts service from starting with the operating system using
System Configuration

Perform the following steps:

Please go to Start and click on the Type here to search

Type msconfig and press Enter

In System Configuration please go to Services tab and locate Performance Logs & Alerts service
Uncheck the box to prevent this service to start and then press OK to finish

Any change make in System Configuration will be apply after restart
