How to Start/Stop Peer Name Resolution Protocol

Display name: Peer Name Resolution Protocol


Description:

Enables serverless peer name resolution over the Internet using the Peer Name Resolution Protocol (PNRP). If disabled, some
peer-to-peer and collaborative applications, such as Remote Assistance, may not function.

This method shows you how to Start/Stop Peer Name Resolution Protocol service from Services.msc

Perform the following steps:

Please go to Start and click on the Type here to search

Locate Peer Name Resolution Protocol service observe his current status and open to make changes

From General tab you can Start/Stop and change the Startup type of Peer Name Resolution Protocol service

To finish press ok button and close Services window

Type services.msc and press Enter
