How to Start/Stop Application Management service

Service name: AppMgmt

Display name: Application Management


Description:

Processes installation, removal, and enumeration requests for software deployed through Group Policy. If the service is disabled, users
will be unable to install, remove, or enumerate software deployed through Group Policy. If this service is disabled, any services that
explicitly depend on it will fail to start.


Path to executable:

C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs

Msconfig:
This method shows you how to Start/Stop Application Management service from starting with the operating system using System Configuration

Please perform the following steps:

Please go to Start and click on the Search programs and files

Type msconfig and press Enter

In System Configuration please go to Services tab and locate Application Management
Uncheck the box to prevent this service to start and then press OK to finish

Any change make in System Configuration will be apply after restart
