How to Start/Stop WebClient

Service name: WebClient

Display name: WebClient


Description:

Enables Windows-based programs to create, access, and modify Internet-based files. If this service is stopped, these functions will not
be available. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.


Path to executable:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalService -p

Services.msc:
This method shows you how to Start/Stop WebClient service from Services.msc

Perform the following steps:

Please go to Start and click on the Type here to search

Locate WebClient service observe his current status and open to make changes

From General tab you can Start/Stop and change the Startup type of WebClient service

To finish press ok button and close Services window

Type services.msc and press Enter
